With an eye toward both innovation and tradition, Junior has forged a path from the world of IT leadership to being the driving force behind Core Homes.
Junior embarked on his home building journey in 2003. Crafting residential homes became a passionate hobby while pursuing a successful IT career as an IT Director. This dual career path blended exceptional technical acumen and an innate knack for turning architectural visions into reality.
In 2018 Junior launched Core Homes. Every home he builds is a testament to his commitment to quality, design, and exceeding expectations in the world of home construction.
Outside the world of homebuilding, Junior finds joy in the role of parenting and grandparenting. Family is the cornerstone of his life, and his dedication to their well-being mirrors his commitment to crafting homes that families will cherish for generations.
Junior and his team at Core Homes are dedicated to turning your dream home into a reality. With a wealth of experience, a passion for perfection, and an unwavering commitment to your vision, Core Homes stands as a testament to Junior’s dedication to building not just homes, but legacies.
” I turned my passion into a career. Building a home you will be proud of is my driving goal every day.”
Vickie’s passion is to deliver exceptional design and create inspiring results for you! She works tirelessly with our trade partners to bring the freshest ideas to our library of home plans.
When she isn’t in the Design Center putting together new home selections, Vickie spends lots of time loving on her three grandchildren: Madi, Rory, and Noah.
“I love nothing more than working with people to bring their hopes and dreams for a new home to life.”
Donovan and his family – wife Amanda and twins, Weston and Veronica, recently moved from Colorado to Chattanooga.
Donovan has been in the new home construction industry for 20 years working in everything from community development and construction, to new home sales.
Both of his kiddos are active in sports, so most days are spent at softball, baseball, football, or basketball games and practices. His family also loves to return to Colorado occasionally for skiing vacations.
“My goal has always been to build an exceptional home while also creating a great customer experience.”
Cheryl has been a marketing professional since 1986 and in the new home construction industry for over 11 years.
A big part of her role at Core Homes is working with St Jude Children’s Research Hospital to fundraise and to help ensure the Chattanooga St Jude Dream Home Giveaway campaign is a success!
Cheryl holds the Certified Marketing Professional and Master in Residential Marketing designations with the National Home Builders Association. She is only 1 of 2 people in the state of Tennessee to have earned the MIRM designation.
She is “Mom” to Christopher, Sarah, and Liam, and loves “digging up bones” as a genealogy researcher in her spare time.
“Do what you love and you’ll never work a day – it’s cliche, but for me, it’s so true. I look forward every day to connect Core Homes to the great folks of Chattanooga!”
Jenn entered the construction industry 20 years ago in Westhampton Beach, New York. She began her career in land surveying and high-end residential construction. Jenn found her niche in property management and expediting permits – so much that she owned her own business doing just that.
She and her husband, Mike, have two children who live in NY and WY. So, of course, she loves to travel to visit, and when she can, travel to Europe.
When she isn’t on the road or on a plane, you can find her playing a mean game of pickle ball making dill balls and dink shots.
“I have found that honesty and communication are the keys to happy clients, partners, and fellow team members. You can’t achieve excellence without them.”
An Indiana native, Donelle has lived in Chattanooga for over 50 years. For the last 12 years she has been keeping the books straight for home building and interior design companies. She has even been able to dabble in interior design over the years.
Donelle has 3 sons and 8 grandchildren who live in Marietta and NW Tennessee. When she isn’t on the road visiting relatives and spoiling grandchildren, she loves to go out with friends, read books, and take scenic hikes.
“Happiness is a choice you make every day.”
A lifelong native of McDonald, Chad has been in the construction industry for 15 years. Before he joined Core Homes full time, he owned Fox Construction and was a key trade partner with Junior on all Junior’s early jobs. Chad was a Core person before there was a Core Homes!
In addition to being an outstanding builder, Chad is our go-to guy when we need home show booths, St Jude Dream Home dog houses, or 5k Awards made! A real team player!
Chad and his wife, Jessica, have two children, Jaina and Parker. In his “spare time”, Chad loves to build furniture. In fact, he built most of the furniture in his home!
“The housing industry called me – over all other opportunities – because I appreciate helping people. When I can make someone else’s vision come to life, it fills me with a sense of pride and purpose.”

Boomer is the fur baby of Erin and Sam Miller, and grand fur baby to Junior and Vickie.
He started life simply – being the rambunctious younger brother to Cecil, the – somewhat tolerant – cat.
Then fame came calling as the go-to doggo model talent for Core Homes. Since then, Boomer has become a star in his own “Boomer Says” feature on Instagram, been featured in many lifestyle photo shoots, and is “top dog” when he visits the Design Center.
Fame has showered him with gigantic chew bones, and new toys – especially from the gals at the title company. His agent says he is available for autographs upon request.
“Woof, woof, wooooof. Bark! Bow wow, bow wow wow.”
